Management Training

Managing people is crucial to your mission but it’s rarely easy. Charities and not-for-profits operate under constant pressure and uncertainty. Too often, brilliant people are promoted into management roles without the tools or time to learn how to manage well.

Managing Well helps individuals and teams across your organisation manage both empathetically and effectively. Our training is rooted in real-world practice, with space for reflection and peer learning. We work with managers at all levels, from those newly promoted to senior leaders, and tailor the content to meet your organisation’s specific context and needs.

The programme is delivered by Miranda Lewis, m2’s Director, and Matthew Davis, our Training and Communications Director. Both bring extensive experience of managing at senior levels across a wide range of voluntary and campaigning organisations.

Offered as a modular or day-long programme, Managing Well is flexible and bespoke. We can deliver it online, in-house, or at our London offices. Amongst other benefits, participants tell us they gain an understanding of their management & communications style, learn how to give feedback & hold courageous conversations, address the challenges of managing in a remote or hybrid environment, and discover how to delegate effectively.
