Who we are
m2 was established in 2016 by Miranda Lewis and Matthew Davis.
We were joined by Lucia Durante in 2019.
Miranda Lewis (MA, MSc, FRSA)
Prior to taking on a consultancy role, Miranda was Associate Director and Head of Qualitative Research at the IPPR think tank where she published widely and regularly appeared as a media spokesperson. At IPPR, Miranda specialised in qualitative research into public attitudes, communicating challenging policy issues and behaviour change. Before, Miranda worked in the Advocacy team at VSO for several years. Miranda is a qualified personal and performance coach and DiSC practitioner, specialising in working with voluntary sector leaders. She was formerly Chair of Richmond CVS and is now a Trustee for ADHD Together. Miranda is also a Research Associate at the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR).
Miranda plays classical guitar, lives in South-west London, and has two young children.
Matthew Davis (BSc, PGCE, FRSA)
Before becoming a consultant in 2006, Matthew worked at WWF where he held various senior positions: Head of Press & Campaigns; Director of both the Marine and Climate Change Campaigns; and Communications Director/Deputy Director for WWF-International’s Global Species Programme. Matthew was a guest lecturer on environmental communications at Birkbeck University for three years and has appeared regularly as a commentator on national media. He was a founding member of Stop Climate Chaos (now the Climate Coalition).
Matthew is a published songwriter (EMI) and young person’s fiction writer. He also has two young children and lives in South-east London. His other passion is Tottenham Hotspur.
Lucia Durante (MA)
Senior Researcher and Training Coordinator.
Lucia has more than 10 years’ experience in social research and previously worked at the Policy Studies Institute and IPPR. She has worked on a wide range of projects related to education, health, social and environmental issues with stakeholders from business, academic, government and voluntary sectors. She has extensive expertise in research and evaluation methodologies, as well as logistics and planning for international events and conferences.
Lucia hails from Argentina, lives in North London and has three young children.
